Iran declared the Strait closed, launched ballistic missiles at Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, and Oman, and specifically targeted Al Udeid Air Base — the largest U.S. military installation in the Middle East — while CENTCOM responded directly: “Iran does not control the strait. Traffic is flowing.”
