Since 2020, Iran has been digging a tunnel complex into Kuh-e Kolang Gaz La, "Pickaxe Mountain", about 2 km south of the Natanz enrichment site. Since August, two of its four entrances have been packed with earth and the roads to the other two blocked. UN inspectors have never been inside. And the US President has said on the record: "We're going to take out Pickaxe Mountain." The problem: America's biggest bunker buster, the 30,000-pound GBU-57, is publicly rated to dig about 60 meters (200 feet). Analysts estimate the facility sits at least 100 meters down. This file rebuilds the mountain in 3D from real elevation data, follows the dig in Sentinel-2 satellite images from 2018 to 2026, and walks through what may be inside and every option for reaching it: the air vents, sealing the doors, the MOAB, a bomb that isn't finished yet, and the oldest option of all.
