Secretary of State Marco Rubio claimed in an interview on Fox & Friends that Ukraine had attacked "American Oil Interests." Is this true?
Sort of… a pipeline connects Kazakhstan with the Russian Black Sea port of Novorossiysk. 90% of the oil transferred is from Kazakhstan. The tankers that ship the oil are not American, but are chartered by American companies.
So, yes, Ukraine indirectly created losses to American revenue, on oil that America owns, from partnerships that America is involved in, but no "American" ships were hit nor American workers injured.
