By now, just about everyone knows that America’s F-117 Nighthawk, the world’s first operational stealth aircraft, has had a very busy retirement, with Black Jets still flying a wide variety of training exercises against American fighter pilots… But one longstanding rumor in the aviation community suggests Nighthawk’s have been doing much more than that. And according to the story, a small batch of them even flew combat operations over Syria as recently as 2017. Let’s see if we can get to the bottom of this.
