On February 10th, the FAA suddenly issued a 10-mile Temporary Flight Restriction over El Paso, shutting down commercial, cargo, and general aviation traffic up to 18,000 feet. The next morning, it was lifted. So what happened? Was it cartel drones? A military laser test at Fort Bliss? Or something far less dramatic? In this video, I break down how Mexican cartels are actually using drones — from smuggling and surveillance to dropping explosives — and why the airspace over the southern border has become a real security challenge. We’ll look at what’s hype, what’s documented, and why “just shoot it down” isn’t as simple as it sounds.
