Today we’re looking into a major operation in Mexico where the government eliminated El Mencho, the head of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, or CJNG. This marks the highest profile capture/killing of a cartel leader in years and immediately led to a spike in violence across the country. This is a developing situation so this is what we know so far.
