Leidos has officially confirmed that the Black Arrow Small Cruise Missile successfully completed a guided flight test from an AC-130J Ghostrider gunship in November 2024. Developed under a Cooperative R&D Agreement with SOCOM and AFSOC, Black Arrow represents a breakthrough in affordable, mission-adaptive precision weapons. Capable of launching from multiple platforms—including Ramp Launch Tubes, pallets, and wing pylons—this low-cost missile could transform airlift aircraft into potent standoff strike platforms.
