The U.S. Air Force has selected Anduril to enter production for its Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) program, marking the first time in more than 50 years that a new company has won a U.S. fighter aircraft program. Anduril will produce the FQ-44 autonomous fighter while Shield AI’s Hivemind autonomy software will help power the next generation of AI-enabled combat aircraft. This marks a major milestone in the Air Force’s push toward human-machine teaming.
