America's New Extremely Insane Supercarrier – USS John F Kennedy (CVN-79) – The USS John F. Kennedy (CVN-79), the U.S. Navy's second Gerald R. Ford-class aircraft carrier, is moving closer to joining the fleet after completing acceptance trials in August 2026. Measuring 337 meters and weighing around 100,000 metric tons, the nuclear-powered carrier can operate more than 80 aircraft and features EMALS electromagnetic catapults, advanced weapons elevators, F-35C compatibility, and upgraded AN/SPY-6(V)3 radar.
