I break down why F-16s can catch these faster drones but can’t afford to be Ukraine’s full-time answer, and how a reconfigured training aircraft with an infrared targeting pod and guided rockets fits perfectly in between. It’s not combat-proven yet, but the economics make a lot of sense.
