Helmet-cam combat footage from the war in Ukraine shows a Russian assault in the area around Kreminna that failed so badly that the Russian commander in charge had to resort to beating one of his own men to maintain unit discipline.
As you will learn in this video, such measures are commonly used by Russian commanders against their own men, even in situations far less horrific than the one we see here. The footage shows the chronology of a failed Russian assault, from the soldiers’ initial enthusiasm about being in a war zone to the harsh reality of actually being in a combat zone.
