Ukrainian drones attacked the Saratov Oil Refinery, which supplies the Russian army with fuel

Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked the Saratov Oil Refinery in Russia's Saratov Region, causing multiple fires to break out across the facility. The extent of the damage to the Saratov refinery is being determined.
The Telegram channel Exilenova+ reported the damage to the refinery, publishing footage of the fire inspection showing multiple fires within the refinery. According to the channel, the refinery's design capacity is approximately 7 million tons of oil per year, which is approximately 2-3% of Russia's total oil refining capacity.
The plant produces AI-92 and AI-95 grade motor gasoline, diesel fuel, marine fuel, road and roofing bitumen, industrial sulfur, and other petroleum products. According to the channel, the enterprise is of significant military and economic importance, as it supplies fuel and lubricants to the Russian armed forces. Of particular importance is the production of diesel fuel, which is essential for military vehicles and armored vehicles.
The channel also reported that some of the drones in Saratov were jammed by electronic warfare systems. As a result, the drones strayed from their route and crashed within the city limits.
The strike on the Saratov Oil Refinery was the latest in a series of attacks on Russian oil refineries supplying fuel for military equipment. Details regarding casualties in Saratov itself have not yet been released.
