Two people were killed after a Russian attack sparked a fire in a 24-story building in Kyiv's Sviatoshynskyi district early Wednesday, Ukraine’s State Emergency Services said. According to Associated Press on the 20th floor, the fire covered an area of approximately 70 square meters, and the apartment's structures were partially destroyed. While clearing the debris, rescuers discovered the bodies of two people. Liia Matviienko, a resident of the building whose apartment was also damaged, revealed they only 'saw fire' during the attack. "There was fire right outside the window; the windows collapsed inward onto us, onto our bed. We quickly ran out barefoot into the main hallway," Matviienko said. In the Desnianskyi district, seven parked cars caught fire in the courtyard of an apartment building, and damage was also reported in the Solomianskyi district.
