Russian missile and drone attacks on Ukraine’s Kyiv region killed four people and injured 27, including eight children, over the past day, regional police said Tuesday. According to Associated Press the strikes hit the Bucha, Obukhiv and Vyshhorod districts, police said on Telegram. In northeastern Ukraine, a Russian attack sparked a large fire at an apartment building in Sumy, the State Emergency Service said. Strikes also hit nonresidential premises in the Sumy and Romny communities. No injuries were initially reported. In Bucha district, a woman was killed and 21 people were injured, including eight children. The attacks damaged 199 private homes and 25 apartment buildings, as well as vehicles, shops and warehouses, police said. Three people were killed and six injured in Obukhiv district, where warehouses were damaged. Strikes in Vyshhorod district damaged warehouses, a residential building and vehicles. Firefighters responding to the attacks had to temporarily halt work and move to safety because of the threat of further strikes before extinguishing the blazes, the service said.
