Three people were killed and six were injured in a Russian drone attack on Ukraine’s central Kirovohrad region that lasted more than 10 hours, the State Emergency Service said. According to Associated Press strikes hit businesses, logistics centers, warehouses and residential buildings in the regional capital, Kropyvnytskyi, sparking fires. Transport infrastructure in various districts of the city was also hit, authorities said. The State Emergency Service reported strikes at 25 locations across the region. Russia has increasingly used attacks on civilian infrastructure such as energy facilities to deny Ukrainians power, heat and running water during the 4½-year war, hoping to wear down public support for Ukraine’s response to Moscow’s full-scale invasion.
