Students in Paris dragged trash containers outside high schools Thursday, erecting fresh barricades as nationwide protests showed few signs of ending. According to Associated Press students at some of Paris’ top-ranked high schools joined the demonstrations in solidarity with peers at other schools. Protesters also accused police of using excessive force in demonstrations on Tueday. Police have made more than 6,600 arrests since late September, when students, most of them under 18, started protesting to demand more education funding, according to the Interior Ministry. The Education Ministry said that 375 schools were either fully or partially closed on Thursday.
