As part of Operation Midnight Hammer, the U.S deployed B-2 Spirit bomber against Iran.B-2s dropped 14 GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrators, 30,000 lb bunker busters, on two different sites -12 at Fordow and 2 at Natanz. The strike was the largest B-2 operational strike in US history, as seven of these bombers, each with two crew members, flew 18 hours into Iran to drop the bunker-buster munitions. It was also the second-longest B-2 mission ever flown.Top US general, Gen. Dan Caine, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff revealed that the B-2 bombers that executed strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities seem to have broken in undetected.He stated, “It appears that Iran’s surface-to-air missile systems did not see us.
