UK’s largest-ever nuclear submarine that can carry 144 warheads enters construction. The new nuclear submarine is being built at BAE System’ Barrow-in-Furness facility. The Barrow shipyard has undergone more than £1bn of redevelopment to drive efficiencies and boost capacity to accommodate the build of Dreadnought and ensure the historic shipyard can continue delivering world-class submarines to the Royal Navy for generations to come.
