DDX and DDG(X: the SUPER CRUISERS of the FUTURE

General

Today we’re going to talk about the future of Western navies, and especially the Italian and American navies, through the DDX and DDG(X) programs, which will shape the navies of tomorrow. For many powers, the 2030s represent a decisive decade, as it involves the partial renewal of numerous military equipment items, especially in the navy. In France, for example, the last FDIs will arrive in the early 2030s at the same time as the last BRF from the French Navy’s replenishment ship program. This need for renewal is explained by a simple reality: some of the ships currently in service are approaching the end of their operational life.Future American and Italian ships must enable a renewed connection with technology. Finally, at a time when Paris is discussing strengthening its naval capabilities, Franco-Italian cooperation around the DDX is no longer completely out of the question. In an increasingly tense geopolitical context, these vessels could well become pillars of Western maritime superiority, even though they are not currently a priority. But what will they really look like?Professional email: [email protected]: DDX and DDG(X): The FUTURE of Surface ShipsWriting: GalibellumEditing: Galibellum & Tobi== CHAPTERS ==00:00 – Introduction to the topic00:52 – 800 tons01:50 – The turning point of the 2030s04:00 – The DDX program: Italy, France? 08:22 – The DDG(X) Project: Succeeding Where the Zumwalt Failed11:50 – Video Conclusion
